1a Create a Zendesk Chat account
In order to connect your Zendesk Live Chat plugin for Shopify, you need to create a Zendesk Chat account. No account yet? Vistit https://www.zendesk.com/chat/ and create your account. You'll need the Zendesk Chat credentials later on.
1b Create a Shopify account
No Shopify account yet? You can easily create an account here.
2 Install the app from the Shopify app store
Go to the Zendesk Chat app in the Shopify app store here and click on the Add app button.
3 Installation page
Your now forwarded to the installation page. Click the button 'Install app'.
And hit 'Start installation'
4 Configure the app
Should the widget be visible on your website?
Insert widget code *
Copy the widget code available in your Zendesk Chat account here. You'll find the code in your Zendesk Chat account > Left Menu bar > Settings > Widget.

Copy the widget code and past it in the Shopify Chat installation. Click Confirm.
5 Finish installation
PLEASE NOTE: there is a difference between your Zendesk Support account and your Zendesk Chat account!
We're now installing your Zendesk Chat widget on your website. In several seconds you'll have your chat widget visible on your site.
Zendesk Chat getting started
In order to chat with your customers, you need to go to your Zendesk Chat dashboard. Use this link to get there. You can also click on the app in your Shopify dashboard. We'll guide you to the app configuration page. On the top left corner you can access your Zendesk Chat account through the 'GO TO YOUR ZENDESK CHAT ACCOUNT' button.
Edit your widget
Go to your Zendesk Chat dashboard and click in the left menu 'Widget'.
Here you can edit the Widget Appearance and other setting. PLEASE NOTE: you don't need to paste any code into your Shopify theme.

Do I need to pay for Zendesk Chat?
