Installation manual for the Mollie Moneybird integration

Connect Mollie with Moneybird and automatically reconcile payments in your accounting. Always an up-to-date cashbook without manual entry.

1. Connect to Mollie

To connect to Mollie, you need the owner account that has access to the relevant organization.

Install the Mollie Integration

  1. Search for the desired Mollie integration in Combidesk.

  2. Click Install this integration.

  3. You will be prompted to connect to Mollie. Click Connect your Mollie account.

Connect to Mollie

  1. You will be redirected to the Mollie website.

  2. Log in with the owner account.

  3. Select the organization you want to connect.

  4. After a successful connection, you will be redirected back to Combidesk.

Important: A new connection must be created in Combidesk for each Mollie organization. Do not edit an existing connection; instead, click Connect with a new Mollie account if you want to connect a new organization.


2. Connect to Moneybird

To connect to Moneybird, click the "Connect your.." button:

If you're not logged on to Moneybird, you'll see this login screen:

After logging in with a user account with sufficient rights, you will see the screen where you can give the app access to your administration:

Here, select the relevant administration and click "Toestaan." Combidesk will now have access to the data in your administration via the Moneybird API.


3. Configuration of the integration

For the integration to work properly, it must be configured correctly. In the paragraph below, we'll go through all the steps of the integration in sequence. Before starting the installation, we recommend that you first carefully read through these steps.


Configure these Mollie steps:

  • Export existing settlements
    Pick a date in the past, present, or future. The first eleven imported items are free of extra charge.

  • Sync invoices?
    Do you want to synchronise the invoices from Mollie to Moneybird?


Configure these Moneybird steps:

  • Select financial account
    Select the account on which the transactions should be booked. Moneybird bankaccount can't be used, so are excluded from this list.

  • Ledger account Payment Service Provider costs
    In this step, select a balance category where the transaction fees from the payout should be booked. In this article, you'll learn how to create this category and how the purchase invoice is processed correctly in the administration.

  • Ledger account payouts
    Select a ledger account for payouts

  • Ledger account outgoing transfers
    Select a ledger account for outgoing transfers

  • Customer number for purchase invoices
    Enter the customer number of the contact in Moneybird on which purchase invoices should be booked. You can find this number in Moneybird under Contacts → click the desired contact → the customer number is shown in the top left of the contact page.

  • Select ledger account for costs
    Select the account where the transaction fees of the purchase invoice of Mollie should be booked. This expense will ultimately appear on your profit and loss statement.


4. The Combidesk customer dashboard

How does the dashboard work?

If you've created a new Combidesk account or installed a integration, you'll receive an email with access to your Combidesk account. When you log in to combidesk.com, you'll arrive at the dashboard. This is where your integration is located. From here, you can easily adjust your integration and account settings, view the integration logs (history), and access support.

What can you view via your Combidesk account?

From your Combidesk dashboard you also have access to your account settings, connected accounts, billing and support.


5. What can you expect from Combidesk?

To help you use our integration effectively, we offer three service levels: basic, pro, and premium. You can always change the service level in your integration. The price will be adjusted for the next billing period.

How often is the data synchronized?

This Mollie Moneybird integration synchronizes automatically every day (overnight) by default. You don’t need to do anything. If a sync fails, the connector will try again during the next run. If the issue persists, we’ll notify you by email.

What permissions do I need in Moneybird?

To connect with Moneybird, you must be the owner of the account.
