Installation manual for the Perfectview Laposta integration

Connect PerfectView with Laposta and automatically synchronize contacts to your email lists. Send targeted campaigns based on up-to-date CRM data.

2. Connect to Laposta

To connect to Laposta, you need an API key.

You can create one in Laposta. Log in via this page.

Log in with your email address and password.

Once you are logged in, click 'Connections' in the bottom right corner. Then click 'New API key +'.

Enter 'Combidesk' (or a name of your choice) in the 'Name' field, add a description and enter your password to create the API key.

Click 'Save and show key'. You will then see the API key. Copy the green code and store it in a safe place.

Enter this code when connecting Laposta in Combidesk.


3. Configuration of the integration

For the integration to work properly, it must be configured correctly. In the paragraph below, we'll go through all the steps of the integration in sequence. Before starting the installation, we recommend that you first carefully read through these steps.


Configure these Perfectview steps:

  • Contact person export
    Do you want to export all existing contact persons from Perfectview?

  • Transfer "particulieren"
    Do you want to transfer "particulieren" too?


Configure these Laposta steps:

  • Select a list for subscribers
    Newsletter subscribers will be added to this list.

  • Service level
    Pick a Service level matching your needs. You can always change the it at a later time, and the price will be adjusted accordingly.


4. The Combidesk customer dashboard

How does the dashboard work?

If you've created a new Combidesk account or installed a integration, you'll receive an email with access to your Combidesk account. When you log in to combidesk.com, you'll arrive at the dashboard. This is where your integration is located. From here, you can easily adjust your integration and account settings, view the integration logs (history), and access support.

What can you view via your Combidesk account?

From your Combidesk dashboard you also have access to your account settings, connected accounts, billing and support.

To help you use our integration effectively, we offer three service levels: basic, pro, and premium. You can always change the service level in your integration. The price will be adjusted for the next billing period.


6. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

How often is the data synchronized?

This integration synchronizes automatically every 60 minutes by default. You don't have to do anything for it. If a synchronization fails, the integration will retry it in the next run. If the issues persist, we will notify you by email. If you prefer real-time synchronization, simply select this option at the bottom of the integration.

Which data is transferred?

For each contact person (from Customers, Prospects, etc.), the first name, last name, and email address are transferred. This means that the individual's personal email address is taken, not the organization's email address.

Is it possible to export existing contacts once using the integration?

No, unfortunately, that's not possible. However, you can easily manually export your existing contacts. You can put your existing contacts into Laposta by exporting them from PerfectView. To do this, go to "More" (on the left) and then select "Persons" / "Contacts". Under "Actions," you can export the data to Excel. It's recommended to include the names of the contact persons in this export so that you can use them to personalize your newsletters in Laposta. By default, the export includes the full name, initials, and preferred name in a single column. To separate them into individual columns, choose the "Copy" option under "Actions." You can add columns to the list, such as last name, middle name, and first name. Once you have created this export, you can easily import it into Laposta. Go to "Relations" and select the list where you want to import the data. Then click on "Add" and follow a few steps to import the file.

Can I segment based on characteristics with this integration?

No, unfortunately, that's not possible. Currently, the integration only synchronizes the first name, last name, and email address to Laposta.

Are new PerfectView contacts transferred to Laposta?

Absolutely 😀! New contacts are transferred through the integration. Changes in the first and last names of existing contacts are also reflected in Laposta.

How does opt-out work in this integration?

The integration only synchronizes PerfectView contacts that do not have an 'opt-out' status. If a Laposta contact unsubscribes from the newsletter, the integration will synchronize this opt-out status back to PerfectView.
