Connect Moneybird with AFAS and automatically synchronize your financial data. Save time on duplicate entry and keep both systems up to date.

1. Connect to Moneybird
To connect to Moneybird, click the "Connect your.." button:
If you're not logged on to Moneybird, you'll see this login screen:
After logging in with a user account with sufficient rights, you will see the screen where you can give the app access to your administration:
Here, select the relevant administration and click "Toestaan." Combidesk will now have access to the data in your administration via the Moneybird API.
2. Connect to AFAS
Before you begin, make sure you have access to the following:
An active AFAS subscription with access to the AppConnector
The subdomain of your AFAS environment (the part before .afas.online)
An XML token generated via the AppConnector in AFAS
Haven't set up the AppConnector yet? Do this first in AFAS via Management → AppConnector. Make sure that at least one connector has been added to your AppConnector and copy the XML token — this is only shown once by AFAS.
Step by step: connecting your AFAS account
Step 1: Open the connection screen
Go to the installation page of the integration and click "Connect your AFAS account". A screen will appear as shown below.
Step 2: Enter your subdomain
In the Subdomain field, enter the first part of your AFAS URL. The full URL has the following format:
Only enter the part that comes before .afas.online.
Step 3: Paste the XML token
In the Token field, paste the full XML token that you copied from the AppConnector in AFAS. The token looks like this:

Please note: AFAS only shows this token once. If you no longer have it, you will need to create a new token in the AppConnector.
Step 4: Test or acceptance environment (optional)
Do you want to connect to a test or acceptance environment? Check the corresponding option:

Leave these options unchecked if you want to connect to your production environment.
Step 5: Save
Click "Save" to confirm the connection. If everything is correct, your AFAS account is now successfully connected.
3. Configuration of the integration
For the integration to work properly, it must be configured correctly. In the paragraph below, we'll go through all the steps of the integration in sequence. Before starting the installation, we recommend that you first carefully read through these steps.

Multiple currencies
Do you use multiple currencies in Moneybird and do you want to synchronize using these currencies?Do you want to send invoices from Moneybird to AFAS?
Pick a date in the past, present, or future. The first eleven imported items are free of extra charge.
Configure these AFAS steps:

Indicate if you always want to use the ledger accounts from AFAS or if you want to use the ledger accounts from Moneybird (if configured with the category).Debtor ledger account

Pick a Service level matching your needs. You can always change the it at a later time, and the price will be adjusted accordingly.
4. The Combidesk customer dashboard
How does the dashboard work?
If you've created a new Combidesk account or installed a integration, you'll receive an email with access to your Combidesk account. When you log in to combidesk.com, you'll arrive at the dashboard. This is where your integration is located. From here, you can easily adjust your integration and account settings, view the integration logs (history), and access support.
What can you view via your Combidesk account?
From your Combidesk dashboard you also have access to your account settings, connected accounts, billing and support.

Explanation of service level (SLA) subscriptions (Basic, Pro, Premium)
To help you use our integration effectively, we offer three service levels: basic, pro, and premium. You can always change the service level in your integration. The price will be adjusted for the next billing period.
6. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How often is data synchronized?
By default, this link syncs fully automatically every 60 minutes. You don't have to do anything for this. If a synchronization fails, this link will try again at the next run. If problems persist, we will notify you by e-mail.
What permissions should I have in Moneybird and AFAS?
In Moneybird you need to have Owner rights and in AFAS you need to have multiple rights. Among other things, you need to have access to Sales Entries and Debtors. Check out our knowledge base for more information.
Can I use multiple general ledger accounts?
Sure, you can 😀! If in Moneybird you have provided the categories with a general ledger code and in AFAS these general ledger accounts exist, set in the link that Moneybird general ledger accounts are leading.
Is it possible to synchronize both sales to AFAS and purchases from AFAS on both sides?
No, currently the link only synchronizes sales invoices from Moneybird to AFAS.

Yes. Even if you do not use the link, you can still use it for a one-time export. Note: this is a paid functionality. The cost is calculated on the number of Moneybird invoices to be synchronized. You need to fully install the link first. TIP: first check with a new invoice that the link works properly before running the full export. You can synchronize per quarter and up to 1 full fiscal year.
